My friend Josh recommended your blog - like it! I would add that there is a lot of natural food, especially on the West Coast, that is not certified organic but is natural nonetheless because it's coming from small farms, foraging, etc. We need to get to know our food purveyors (chefs, farmers, foragers, grocers, etc.) and ask them where our food comes from. Check out festivore.com!

Lindsey,
Your blog is awesome. I've been enjoying reading it for the past couple months. Your ideas have made me more conscious of what I buy and use daily. And I especially like the photos you've attached. Keep it going.
          Nancy

Where did you purchase the org. cotton pads from? Whole Foods? Also, same for your makeup? Henry's, Trader Joe's, etc.. don't really have a good selection of eco friendly make up & bathroom items.
It's good to start small..every step makes a difference. Skin cancer is also prevelent on my mom's side of the family, so I too, have to be more careful with my face!

Wow, I didn't realize it wasn't that great to use paper bags. You always think your choosing the lesser of two evils, but not really.

I, too, most of the time carry a re-useable bag with me. Mine is from Envirosax. Check them out, they have pretty cool colors and patterns:

My only thing is- I do use the paper bags I get from the store as trash can liners. That is better than buying Hefty trash bags right?
